Get your stache on and MASQUERADE!

Comes from Middle French, from old Italian dialect masarada, from Old Italian maschere mask that had its first known use in 1587 is a social gathering of persons wearing masks and often fantastic costumes  for wear at such a gathering or an action or appearance that is mere disguise or show.  masquerade 2What better way to make your disguise a worthy one is to get your stache on! By using the mustache framelit, punching two holes in it for eyes, and a few sequins and you have a great mask for Halloween cards and tags. These staches give your mustache framelit a new life. Using the Mingle All The Way Stamp Set will help you choose your sentimentBy embossing the Four Feathers Stamp Set and using the matching framelits ( it is a bundle) to cut them out, it is easy to get a new look for the stache. You could use this idea for New Years, Marde Gras or on its own for a masculine card, just stache and no mask! Another use is making  a statement with the Santa Stache Stampset.masquerade 1 

 

Another Brayered Haunted Holiday Home


I am having so much fun creating these brayered Holiday homes. By using the Bundle of Holiday Home and the Homemade  Holiday Framelits, I was able to create this vignette of a haunted home on a brayered background.

  1. Creating the beautiful background is easy if you do it one color at a time.
  2.  
Cut circle for the moon
  3.  Ink brayer with the lightest color of  ink: Wysteria Wonder by rolling it across the ink pad. Using a back and forth motion, roll inked brayer across the sky area of the masked cardstock until all of the ink is off the roller.
  4. Roll some more to blend it further.
  5.  
Repeat previous step using the second lightest color of ink Perfect Plum.
  6. Repeat previous step with the darkest color Elegant Eggplant  covering only part of the previously inked area.
  7. Using the Lovley As A Tree Stamp Set take large oak tree and Mossy Meadow ink to create shrubs in front of where your houses will be placed. Wipe your stamp clean and stamp again using Cajun Craze over the green schrubs.
  8.  
Cut out 3 houses and color with blendabilities to your liking. 
 Add any pumpkins, spiders, bats etc
  9. Stamp images with Black Momento Ink.

 Place the holiday homes on your card and add some spookyness to it using your imagination and stamps from Holiday Cheer and Gratitude for Days. Add some new Natural and Old Olive two-toned Trim  and finish the card.

Brayered Haunted Holiday Home

Cut circle for the moon and for the ground from Eclipse™ paper and adhere to white cardstock to mask the Marsh area.
  3.  Ink brayer with the lightest color of  ink Daffodil delight by rolling it across the ink pad. Using a back and forth motion, roll inked brayer across the sky area of the masked cardstock until all of the ink is off the roller.
  4. Roll some more to blend it further.
  5.  
Repeat previous step using the second lightest color of ink Tangerine Twist.
  6. Repeat previous step with the darkest color Cajun Craze  covering only part of the previously inked area.
  7. Tear a Post It Note for the bottom  meadow and Sponge along the Post-It™ Note horizon line with Mossy Meadow ink.
  8.  
Remove Eclipse™ Paper.

   

  9. Stamp images with Black ink.

 Cut out the holiday home and add some spookyness to it using your imagination and stamps from Holiday Cheer and Gratitude for Days. Add some linen thread and a piece of grosgrain ribbon and finish the card.
