It is almost that time to begin to prepare those spooky little treat containers for your favorite goblins . Here is a very simple idea to keep those little goblins happy!

Blinging up the Square Pillow Die
Blinging up the Square Pillow Die

Here is the how to for this little Halloween Package:

  1. Layer both pieces of designer paper (same side up) and run through the Big Shot using the Square Pillow Box Die.
  2. Lay both cut pieces side by side with the outer pattern on top.
  3. Place a strip of Tear and Tape Adhesive along scored and angled edge of both pieces.
  4. Use a bone folder to fold both edges inward.
  5. Pull the backing off of the tape and attach to the top straight edge of the underside of each piece, forming the box.
  6. Using your fingers, gently press along the curved scored box ends until they come together. Optional: The half circle notches will interlock which will hold the ends together more securely.
  7. Decorate with stamps, twine , ribbon or whatever strikes your fancy being  sure to add some bling to your owl.

Happy Scenes, Celebrate the Season!

There are so any great new tools and Stamp Sets in the new Holiday Cataog. This Happy Scenes , Celebrate the Season, was easy to make and gives you that wow factor at the same time.

Here’s the how to on this cardHappy scenes

The brick wall is 5 ” by 3 3/4″” crumbcake cardstock and run through the  Woodland embossing folder. To add color to the bricks, use an aqua painter and Cajun Craze  ink to paint each brick and let it dry .  Adhere to black mat of 5 1/4″ by 4″.and wrap linen thread around the wall  and place on the  Cajun Craze card base.

On a piece of very vanilla cardstock sponge from light to dark daffodil Delight, Pumpkin pie, a touch of Cajun  to add color to the background of your scene that you will stamp. This will be placed directly behind the window frame

Cut out you window with the new window framelit that comes with the Happy Scenes Bundle.

On a piece of Very Vanilla paper, place your window over it and get an idea of where the scene will show through the window and carefully remove the window and stamp your scene.

Using the 3/4″ circle Punch, , cut 3 circles and make your pumpkin and attach with dimensionals. use the leaves from the owl punch and add them to the pumpkin along with a white twine bow. Add a sentiment. and you are done.

Softly Falling, Using Your Leftovers!

What do you do with all your scraps? I can be  so lazy, I hate to put them away even though I have a designated place for them. I would prefer to design another card instead.

This card idea was  inspired by a piece of gold foil paper that I cut some Vintage Leaves for another project. The gold splatted Bliss paper behind the Maple Leaf was a piece of paper that got in the way of other splatting. and I used it for a layer under the cut out leaves.

The colored paper behind the leaves was the under paper that protected my design area when I sponged a number of colors on gold embossed leaves for another project. I liked that paper so well, I used it and placed it in the smaller openings of the gold foil paper. I used the Happy Scenes Photopolymer Stamp Set and masked the area around the small leaves and stamped with the Happy Scenes stamp set.

I ran the foil sheet through the new Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I just love the texture it gives to any paper. I added the foil paper with dimensionals and adhered it to a Cajun Craze card base. I tied a bow with gold satin ribbon and used glue dots to attach some metallic gold thread.

Not bad for leftovers!

Stampin’ Up! Halloween Decor!

I took a break from using just Stampin ‘ Up!  materials yesterday and just went for a little decorating getting ready for Halloween. I really feel that these pics do not do these stinkin’ cute tabel top hats any justice but hope you can get the  Idea.11988459_983469215039133_6534682003065290439_n

What was fun was to incorporate some SU product with some other materials found in a nearby craft shop. I barely ever by from any other company than Stampin” Up! but I could not help myself. These 10 Inch hats were only $1, I bought a few other items and added some paper and stamps from Su to get these cute favors for the Grandchildren for Halloween.11960269_983469148372473_7284799199102352411_n
