Here are some ways to create cards using texture

Texture using mask and embossing paste

Using  our new embossing paste and 4 different masks can add a raisaed feature to your cards. You can even dye the paste to any color usig your re-inkers.

using molding paste for texture pink and green

This card uses an embossing folder on the background a a square cut on an angle is used for more dimension. Layering the daisey delight  flowers using the new daisy punch and using a bone folder to curl the petals is a gret way to add interest to your cards.

Tarnished Foil is an artsy way to use embossing powders and Stazon ink.  This technique never turns out the same for everyone so it is very unique.

Had to figure out how to re- purpose my cardboard . Here is an unusual way to add interest to a card by pulling off the  top prtion of cardboard caratons and scraping some of the paper away.

Texture using cardboard.

Lastly, How about using some our our new heavy duty embossing folders that give great indentation to your cards. Here is the Ruffled embossing folder.

Texture using Ruffled Embossing folder

By wetting the paper a little with a spritzer can actually add additional dimension to your ability to show interest.

Hope you will be able to come to class so that you will learn these new techniques.

Brick fireplace santa entering wThis month I will be using Punch Art as well as the Brick Textured Impressions Embossing  Folder .  I will be demonstrating the many uses of the folder and how to add paint to the bricks while embossing. We will be using the brick folder to help us create the illusion of a fireplace that good ole Santa will have to navigate to get your gifts to their proper recipients. A small pocket will be inside for a gift card.  How cute will it be to have ole Santa coming down the chimney?

Traveler Meets Work of Art

One of my first purchases after receiving a free Work of Art Stamp Set was Traveler. I love the pen and ink intricate drawings, especially the railroad train. I had to do something with it and found some inspiration on Pinterest. I just changed up the color Combos to make a masculine  card fit for Dad, Son , Lucky Grad,  or maybe for someone going on a trip, etc.. When I need to send it, I will put the appropriate sentiment on the inside. Continue reading Traveler Meets Work of Art

While most people in the know about Project Life use it  when creating scrapbook pages, I, on the other hand, have made so many scrapbooks, that my family has asked me to stop because they have run out of storage! Instead I use the different Project Life materials when making quick cards.

These materials are more versitile than you may think!
