While you are awaiting the new catalog, let me introduce you to the
New In Colors for 2017-2019
Been cleaning out my craft room and this picture says it all. I am really not a horder just did not get around to gettting rid of my favorite papers until I completely pulled my craft room apart to get ready for my Retired Sale. Most papers have been cut down to 6×6 to make it easier to transport.
I have been getting ready for Stampin’ Ups! New Occasions Catalog going live by providing some sneak peek designs! Here is one of the newest Specialty Designer Papers available Jan 6th called Birthday Bash (137783). What yo probably can not tell from the picture is that the balloon Paper has some foil balloons added for extra sparkle. The ribbons and buttons were free with my purchase of $50 or more.
Using the idea of matting in descending order by 1/4″ increments, helps to make the papers and sentiment pop! In case you are not sure of how to create layers se the cutting guide. I now have this handy to take the thinking out of what kind of layers I want to cut. You can cut in order or skip a layer to create more interest in your papers.
Each marker set assortment is a trio of coordinating shades (light to dark). The six additional colors in the catalog (Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Wisteria Wonder)) will be released for customer purchase on Aug. 1. These are alcohol based markers that will take your coloring, blending and shading to a whole new level.
• On a piece of Whisper White card Stock , randomly Stamp with Momento Ink, the Blended Bloom Stamp.
• Stamp 2nd bloom on Whisper White Cardstock , and color the entire bloom in the lightest shade of Cherry Cobbler.
• Then take the darkest shade and outline the parts of the flower in areas you think the light would not hit the petals. I usually go around 3/4 of each petal.
• With the medium marker I will take the darkest lines and pull the color towards the center . I finish with a top layer of the lightest marker. When adding the color be sure to go in a circular motion to insure that you have blended the colors.
• Do the same for the center of the flower using the Daffodil Delight markers.
• Cut out the flower and add some Basic Jewels Rhinestones that you have also colored with the Cherry Cobbler Markers.
• Lay some Back to Black Dotted Paper on the White piece and top it with Hello Honey Satin Rbbon.
• Adhere all pieces together.
PAPERS: Hello Honey, Whisper White, Back to black DSP
INKS: Black Memento Ink Pad , Blendabilities Trios: Cherry cobbler and Daffodil Delight
Ok so I need to use my Thing-a -ma- Jig in order to get the text of this card perfectly straight. Instead, I definitely have a homemade effect with the downwards curve of my letters. All in all, a “thx” is a “thanks”, no matter what!
Here is another attempt at using the new What’s Your Type stamp set. While it does have a learning curve, it was not that difficult to stamp.
Hint: Try using Post- It notes to help mask off the two vertical lines in “HI” when connecting them with the horizontal thin lines to get that perfect “H”! To achieve this be sure not to have the post it strip wider than the first verticle line or the horizontal line will not gconnect the two straight lines ( H) Also to achieve the background on this card I used the Gorgeous Grunge in one color going horizontally and another color in the palette vertically, to achieve a plaid effect.
Papers: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Moonlight
Inks: Tangerine Twist, Momento Black, Hello Honey , Tempting Turquoise
We’re excited to announce the release of the Calling All Heroes Photopolymer Stamp Set. This two-sheet set includes builder pieces to create your own superhero-or super villain-as well as a stylized alphabet.
One of my first purchases after receiving a free Work of Art Stamp Set was Traveler. I love the pen and ink intricate drawings, especially the railroad train. I had to do something with it and found some inspiration on Pinterest. I just changed up the color Combos to make a masculine card fit for Dad, Son , Lucky Grad, or maybe for someone going on a trip, etc.. When I need to send it, I will put the appropriate sentiment on the inside. Continue reading Traveler Meets Work of Art→
