Our class cards are fun and I am using the new materials from the Occasions Catalog as well as some from the Annual Catty. Your cards are being designed so that you can use for more than one occasion. They can be valentines as well as birthday, get well thinking about you , etc. You will be taught a new skill using the Stamparatus. It will give you the knowledge to help you determine how much the new stamp positioner should be one of your new tools along with a bag that is being designed to hold it..
This month’s class cards are pretty simple yet, elegant. The use of pearls, gold embossing, color choices and beautiful ribbons should be most pleasing.
From the Heart is from the Paper Passions Stamps and Thinlets out of the new occasions Catalog. I think the newest technique is to use the blender pens to color the white dazzling diamonds paper to have it not so stark and mesh with the very vanilla and crumb cake papers. The additions of gold embossing powder and my new favorite Stamp Background, Marbled, gives a really nice look to the entire card.
You will have an opportunity to use a multitude of pearls and embellishments and if you have something in your stash please bring with you to class, You may want to use rhinestones or even a copic marker to re- color the beautiful flower embellishment that is off white.
Embossing on Vellum is always so beautiful. Using a simple flourish will kick up your card.. In addition, adding an old background stamp from SU gives just enough coverage behind the vellum. I heat the embossing powder from the back to the front does not burn. More about that in class.
The last card uses the stamp set Half Full, and a z -fold card base . Since the DSP is already embossed in gold, how many of you will be willing to emboss resist with Rich Razzleberry? I will bring small samples of the DSP to try that before you consider doing it to the entire card.
Hope to see you all in February!
This is the best time to join my team, Chicks and Chocolate during the entire year. No Strings. Talk to me if you are interested!
