Thankful for . . . A Holiday Transition Week

I look forward to this week every year, as it is time to finish up my Thanksgiving cards and begin my Holiday Helper for friends, family and customers.

Tablescape Thankful

These tutorials will continue to be posted here for the next few weeks to help get your mojo running. In between will be other tutorials for your holiday needs.

I am so blessed to have so many supportive people in my life and hope that you do as well. This Transition takes me from the earth tones to the holiday colors that bring out the joy in all of us. Good bye to the beautiful earth tones of fall and onward to the colors of the winter season.

First idea is to get those gift cards all wrapped up nice and pretty. Oh What Fun!

Thankful for . . . The Pumpkin Tradition at Thanksgiving

Did you know there is a Thanksgiving connection  with the good old pumpkin? There are conflicting reports and documentation as to whether pumpkins were a part of the first Thanksgiving meal of the Pilgrims and the Indians, or whether it was the second Thanksgiving celebration the next year. We do know that pumpkins were a staple of the Indians long before the arrival of the pilgrims. Regardless of what camp you are in, from that time forward, pumpkins have been, and continue to be a tradition at the Thanksgiving feast. How simple a task to say Happy Thanksgiving to someone you care about with this cute embossed circle Framelit cut just below the fold to create a great little card.Pumpkin Thanksgiving

Thankful for . . . Knowing How to Express your Gratitude!

People with a strong sense of gratitude, love and appreciation don’t necessarily have more than others; they aren’t “luckier”. They simply recognize and see more beauty in their lives. People who count their blessings are generally happier and healthier than people who don’t. If you ever feel as if anything in your life isn’t “enough”, try practicing an attitude of thankfulness. You might realize how good you have it after all. When I make a card, I realize the beauty I have when feeling my papers and ink between my fingers, the sound of the blades precisely cutting my papers, all my senses are working in tandem.  My mind continues to work. How shall I create today? Wait no more. Here is today’s card!truly grateful step card
Create a card that has step folds on one side. Begin with  One 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock

They are the first childhood friends, your school buddies growing up, sorority sisters in college, volunteers that work beside you and even professional colleagues from the workplace.
